Be Part of the Story
A place to play and learn Daily.
In 2016 Dr. Daily donated 77 acres for Abe & Lizzie Daily Park so families could “have a place to grow, play, and learn.” He reserved the adjoining 6.6 acres for a future community center—now coming to life as the DAE Center. This project honors his parents, his love of rural Simonton, and his belief that when people gather around a shared dream, good things happen.

What We’re Building First
Helen’s Garden & Nature Trail
Native flowers, raised vegetable beds, and pollinator habitats wind into a half-mile trail that links the Center to Abe & Lizzie Daily Park. It’s a living classroom where kids dig in the dirt, seniors stroll at sunset, and local wildlife finds a safe haven.
“Play Daily” Fields & Courts
Two lighted ballfields that convert for baseball, softball, and soccer, plus an adaptive playground and outdoor fitness area. Whether you’re six or sixty, these fields invite the entire region to move, compete, and connect—free of charge.
Multi-Use Community Space
A 6,000-square-foot, climate-controlled space designed for everything from job-skill workshops to scout banquets. Movable walls, high-speed Wi-Fi, and an art-display rail mean one space can transform to meet dozens of community needs—day after day.
